Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek offers a picturesque view of the mountains, to the warm hospitality of locals, and equally beautiful bio-diversity of the Annapurna Region. The trail passes rows of lush green terraced hills, to the high alpine forest with an awe-inspiring view of the Himalayan range from 7,000 to 8,000 meters high.

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

     

    A representative from Adventure Kora will escort you from the airport to your hotel. In the afternoon, you can opt to  take a short excursion through the city, especially the Kathmandu Durbar Square to take you on a cultural and historical tour of the ancient city.  

  2. Day 2: Trek preparation day in Kathmandu

     

    If you still have some last minute trek supplies to purchase, our guides will take you to some of the adventure sports store. We’ll head back to the hotel for dinner where the guide will orient you about the trek.

  3. Day 3: Drive to Pokhara (827m/2,700ft)

     

    Today we will be driving to Pokhara. It's a 6 hours drive from Kathmandu City. Once you check into the hotel, you can head out to the lakeside area. The lakeside offers boating rides, paddle boarding and also a short hike to the Peace Pagoda.

  4. Day4: Drive to Siwai And trek to Chomrong(2170m/7120ft): 5 - 6 hours

     

    After an early breakfast, we’ll drive to the village of Siwai, the starting point of our trek. Along the way, you will be greeted by glimpses of Mount Fishtail. After a quick stoppover at Jhinu for lunch, we'll continue up the steep trail. The trail has a few stretches of downhill, before it steadily heads uphill again. The last stretch of the steep uphill climb to Chommorong is the most challenging part of this route. Stopover at Chommorong.

  5. Day 5: Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 - 5 hours

     

    After Chommorong, the route is lined with forest cover until bamboo.  While you enjoy the view of Mount Fishtail and Annapurna ranges, do keep a lookout for the lophophorus (Nepali National Bird), blue sheep and deer.

  6. Day 6: Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 - 4 hours

     

    Today’s trail includes steep uphill until Deurali. You’ll notice a marked difference in the vegetation as you head higher, with lush green forest giving way to alpine covers. If you’re lucky you might get to see groups of Langoors huddled together, busy basking in the sun or foraging for food.

  7. Day 7: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m812135ft): 5- 6 hours

     

    Enroute to Annapurna Base Camp, we will stop at Machhapuchre Base Camp for lunch. Throughout the way enjoy magnificent views of Annapurna Range, Hiuchuli and Fish Tail. The night sky, and the view surrounded by the Annapurna range on all sides is simply awe-inspiring.

  8. Day 8: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 – 8 hours

     

    You will have to wake up early to watch the sunrise. The awe-inspiring view of the  sun slowly cloaking the mountains with its rays until they stand glistening admist the clouds is spectacular. After breakfast, we trace our way downwards to Bamboo again.

  9. Day 9: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 - 6 hours

     

    After a late breakfast, we descend towards Jhinu which is famed for its hot springs.The route is fairly short and we should reach Jhinu by lunchtime. Settle down in your lodge and head out to the hotsprings.

  10. Day 10: Trek to Siwai then drive to Pokhara: 4 hours trek, 2 hour drive

     

    Tracing our route back from Jhinu we head toward Siwai. We’ll reach Siwai by afternoon and a jeep will drive us back to Pokhara. At Pokhara, feel free to spend the rest of your day at leisure.

  11. Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu

     

    We'll head back to Kathmandu after breakfast. You can spend the day at leisure in Kathmandu or opt to take a city tour with our guide or finish some last minute souvenir shopping.

  12. Day 12: Departure from Kathmandu

     

    Adventure Kora's representative will drop you off at the airport.
